EHS ComplianceThe Tripura State Pollution Control Board (TSPCB) on May 15, 2025, issued a notification regarding the periodicity of Consent & Inspection under Ease of Doing Business.

The following has been stated: - 

•The Tripura State Pollution Control Board (TSPCB) issued orders to streamline regulation, reduce compliance burden, and align with Ease of Doing Business and the Jan Vishwas Act, 2023. 

•The periodicity of Consent to Establish (CTE) is now linked to capital investment, with auto-renewal allowed for 3 years across all projects. The Consent to Operate (CTO) validity is based on the pollution index, with specific renewal timelines for Red, Orange, Green, Blue, and White categories of industries. 

•To ensure environmental surveillance, inspections will follow fixed timelines ranging from 3 months for highly polluting industries to once in 15 years for White category units. 

•Standardized checklists and inspection formats have been introduced for uniformity and transparency in reporting.
